Like its predecessor, it relies on ZVOX’s proprietary PhaseCue virtual surround system and a plethora of embedded components — three 3.25” speakers, a 60W amplifier, and a large 4” subwoofer — to create a surround-sound experience that imitates two separate speakers 8’ apart from one another. A subwoofer out is included, however, for those who may seek an even greater bang. The signature selling point of the ZVOX 440 is its handcrafted wood frame with hand-lacquered end-panels, which give it a sexy demeanor meant to fit in any cozy at-home environment.
