The Yamaha YAS-71 is a front surround sound audio system consisting of a central receiver and a large 6-1/2" subwoofer. The central receiver hosts an FM tuner, iPod connectivity (YDS-10 adapter required), Bluetooth connectivity (TBA-10 adapter required) for A2DP audio streaming, and four 3” woofers.

For connectivity, the YAS-71 includes digital optical, digital coaxial, and analog audio in. Once connected, the YAS-71’s receiver can process Dolby Digital, DTS, and Dolby Pro Logic II audio, eventually unleashing it with 110 total Watts of power across 4 interior channels—plus the subwoofer). The Yamaha YAS-71 basically functions as a 4.1-channel system by providing a surround sound experience without the need for a conventional multi-speaker system.

Additional Information

The Yamaha YAS-71 retails for the same as the YAS-70. Although it adds along Bluetooth connectivity and larger woofers, the YAS-71 boasts a lower total power output, as well as less ‘channels.’
