The subwoofer has a 400 watt onboard amplifier and A/V receiver built in. Sony's S-AIR wireless technology allows wireless audio to be transmitted about 160 feet. The system handles 1080p sources with two HDMI inputs, and one HDMI output, as well as component video inputs and several audio inputs. The system performs up-conversion of all video inputs to the HDMI out, meaning there will only be one cable required to attach to your HDTV.
