The DMX-WL1 consists of two parts - a transmitter and a receiver. The receiver connects via HDMI to a television and outputs the video and audio to the TV. The transmitter has an array of digital and analog inputs which devices such as game consoles and DVD players are connected to. The transmitter wirelessly broadcasts the video and audio that is outputted from such devices to the receiver, which then displays it on the television. The DMX-WL1 eliminates the need to put all home theater devices near the TV, and the need to crawl behind the TV or run wires through walls to connect new devices. The DMX-WL1 also has an S/PDIF digital audio output (not wireless) that can be connected to a surround-sound audio setup. It does, however, only output at up to 1080i, not 1080p.
