The Samsung SIR-T165 is an HDTV Terrestrial Receiver that receives and decodes all over-the-air HDTV/SDTV formats, as well as over-the-air analog (NTSC) signals and most unscrambled analog cable channels.

Once completely setup, viwers can watch HDTV and SDTV broadcasts in unfiltered Dolby Digital Sound. The SIR-T165 also comes chockful of inputs and outputs, as well as an A/V switch for quickly jumping from one component to the next. Most notable about the Samsung SIR-T165 is its FireWire IEEE1394 interface, which can be used to control and record to digital VHS (D-VHS) recorder/players.
