Philips HTS9140

Released April, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Simple and clean aesthetic. Perfect for those uninterested in complex and expensive surround sound setups. Includes wall mount.

The Cons:Cannot compete with real 5.1 setups. Less flexible / replaceable than separate devices. Overpriced.

The HTS9140 is a high-end sound-bar home theater system released by Philips. Like the model it replaces, the HTS8100, it utilizes Ambisound technology to produce a virtual 5.1-channel surround sound experience, supporting DTS-HD and Dolby True HD audio decoding.

G Chakraborty: #philips_hts9140 I own a Hilips HTS 7140 SoundBar and I consider the product is overpriced for the quality of sound it delivers. This to me is backed-up with absolutely dismaying service by Philips. They just don't bother about their customer once the product is sold. No one cares to ensure the DEMO of the installed system, No calls to check if the customer needs help or if they are happy / satisfied with their purchase. Worse yet is the customer care executives and call centre executives who are the biigest MORONs for being paid for displaying incompetency. Do I suggest the product ? NO, simply because the product is only as good as the services you get. Oct 21, 11
