Onkyo UP-A1

The Onkyo UP-A1 is an iPhone/iPod dock designed for transmitting music, movies, TV shows, music videos, and video podcasts to a compatible Onkyo A/V receiver. It features Onkyo’s proprietary Universal Port technology, which at its core is basically an advanced USB connection.

Needless to say, the port allows the dock to transmit high-quality video (up to 1080i) and audio to the A/V unit, as well as power from the A/V back to the connected iPod or iPhone. Additional features of the Onkyo UP-A1 include Remote Interactive signals (allows operation of the UP-A1 via the A/V receiver’s remote), automatic recharging, and an onscreen display for content navigation and selection.
