The IR receiver portion of the RX101 allows for full remote control of system components.
Once a compatible Bluetooth device is paired with the RX101, music can be transmitted wirelessly to compatible Marantz receivers. This product conforms to the 2.1 + EDR and A2DP specifications, meaning high quality stereo/mono sound can be pushed to the RX101 just like any other source. Apple’s iPhone and iPod touch music players are fully compatible, as long as the devices are running iOS 3.0 or above. The IR receiver does not require line of sight, meaning components can be placed inside a cabinet or hidden inside a closet. No external power supply is required.
